The Airfield & Fleet
Lower Upham has been established as an airfield for more than 30 years.
Lower Upham has been established as an airfield for more than 30 years with a vast range of aircraft old and new operating from the airfield over its history.
Lower Upham is situated inside the Solent CTR but has been granted it’s own airspace to operate in. Visiting aircraft are very rarely permitted to land here. Although there are a few helicopters based here, the majority of users are the very quiet Ikarus C42 aircraft, allowing us to blend in with the local surroundings and our neighbours without too much disturbance.
A 578 meter runway with obstacles at either end make Lower Upham a challenging yet fun airfield to learn at and fly from.
Solent Flight operate a modern fleet of Ikarus C-42 aircraft.
